Analyis of the race
Young Billy Cray did an excellent job in getting BLESSED PLACE over to the rail from his wide draw, but once in front his rivals could never go the pace to claw him back.
A real speedball of a gelding when allowed an easy lead, the winner shows nosigns of losing enthusiasm despite this being his 99th career start.
The consistent Thoughtsofstardom ran another fine race in defeat under a penalty for last week's Folkestone success, but he couldn't close on Blessed Place in the closing stages.
Ela Aleka Mou shaped with a little more encouragement, keeping on from off the pace without ever really landing a blow.
