A modest maiden and STRIDING EDGE put his experience to good use up to build on two promising efforts so far. Bred to want at least a mile, it's no wonder he's been finding sprint trips too short so far but he was found a weak race to get off the mark and he got the job done with the minimum of fuss. His rider said that he's leggy and we won't see the best of him until next year, while a mile will probably end up being his best trip.

Swingfire also appreciated the step up to 6f, keeping on well having sat close throughout and he could be the type to improve in handicaps upped in trip again. Lislin hadn't shown much in two previous starts but she showed a bit more here, travelling quite nicely up the inside before just finding the front twotoo speedy in the closing stages.
