Messiah Garvey midfield, headway 4f out, ridden to chase leaders over 2f out, soon driven and one pace
Volaticus towards rear, headway 3f out, soon ridden and kept on same pace approaching final furlong
King Of The Moors held up in rear, headway on outer over 2f out, soon ridden and kept on approaching final furlong, nearest finish
Kingsholm held up towards rear on inner, switched left and headway over 2f out, soon ridden and no impression approaching final furlong
Cool Sands in rear, some late headway, never a factor
Apache Nation held up in midfield, effort 4f out, soon ridden along and no headway
Desert Rat chased leaders, ridden along halfway, soon weakened
Thornaby Green prominent on outer, ridden along 3f out, soon driven and weakened over 2f out
Apres Ski took keen hold, held up in rear, rider lost irons halfway, never a factor
Kadia chased leaders, ridden along 4f out, soon weakened
West End Lad, more familiar on the all-weather, ran a sound enough race on this switch to turf, just claiming second from Silly Gilly, who was upped in trip and who ran her best race of the season.
Messiah Garvey was not disgraced, trying this longer trip, though the middle section of these finishers ended-up in a heap.
Apache Nation, winner ofthis race last year, was being ridden along in mid-field early in the straight and, in a fast-run race, could never pick-up the leaders.
