Maria Di Scozia with leader until led 7f out, ridden over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, stayed on
Lemonesse always prominent, ridden over 2f out, stayed on towards finish
Mushtaaq always prominent, chased winner 5f out, ridden and hung right over 1f out, no extra towards finish
Spiritonthemount tracked leaders, pulled hard, ridden over 2f out, soon hung right, weakened final furlong
Waarid started slowly, pulled hard, headway 4f out, soon ridden, hung right and weakened over 2f out
Herculaneum soon pushed along in rear, behind from halfway
Minjim led 5f, ridden and weakened over 3f out
Tot Hill refused to race, took no part
Lemonesse, beaten 27 lengths on her debut at Southwell last month, proved much more at home on this surface, but her second placing does raise obvious questions about the value of the form.
Spiritonthemount, who had hung right when second here in April, was now running in first-time blinkers, but he again hung, while Waarid, who had hung left lasttime, went the other way on this occasion.
