Bold Cross tracked leaders, pulled hard, shaken up and edged right from over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, ran on
Lap Of Honour soon led, ridden and edged right over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, stayed on
Littleton Telchar held up, ridden over 1f out, ran on inside final furlong, not reach leaders
Unlimited steadied start, pulled hard, headway to track leader over 5f out, ridden over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
Yerevan tracked leaders, raced keenly, ridden and not clear run over 1f out, switched left, stayed on
Torquemada prominent, ridden over 1f out, soon weakened and eased
BOLD CROSS was keen early, but his rider managed to get him nicely covered up and when he produced him there was plenty in the tank. This was a career-best effort from the 5yo, and there is likely to be more yet to come from him.
Lap Of Honour, whose form this season has been regressive, has been slipping down the weights as a result and was racing in this grade for thefirst time this year. He showed his appreciation with a creditable effort from the front and, though clearly outpointed by the winner late on, he is clearly becoming competitive again.
Unlimited, who had finished behind Bold Cross at Bath last month, did his chances no good here by failing to settle, while Yerevan (who was also keen) ran much better than on her recent reappearance at Windsor and may be coming to hand.
