Valdan prominent, led after 3f, headed 2f out and weakened
Tcherina held up in touch, effort 3f out, soon ridden along and no impression
Campli held up, always towards rear
Edas led 3f, close up until ridden along 3f and weakening when hung badly right 2f out

HITS ONLY VIC had won his previous two starts and escaped a penalty for his apprentice race success three days earlier, but even his connections must have been surprised at the ease with which he completed the hat-trick, moving very smoothly into the lead before 1f out and coming home a comfortable winner. He will find things much tougher if he attempts to make it a four-timer at Newmarket on Saturday but he is clearly in fine fettle at present.
That said, his rivals were fairly easily brushed aide here. Demolition kept on for a creditable second off top weight - he looks handicapped up to the hilt off his current mark yet he beat the rest by a long way, which suggests that few of them gave their best running.
