Sculastic soon led, ridden along over 2f out, driven over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, not quicken last 100yds

Bed Fellow chased leading pair, headway 3f out, ridden to challenge 2f out, soon driven and every chance until no extra just inside final furlong

Rosbay tracked leaders, effort 3f out, ridden along 2f out, driven over 1f out and one pace

Prince Noel tracked leader, effort 3f out, ridden along 2f out and gradually weakened

Nuit Sombre took keen hold, in touch, headway when not clear run over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened over 1f out

Minority Report held up and behind, headway 3f out, effort and not much room over 1f out, weakened and eased inside final furlong

Claret And Amber blind removed late and refused to race, took no part

Plenty with chances at the weights in this handicap and not much between the first four at the line.

WIGWAM WILLIE had run his best races previously with more give in the ground but the step back up to 1m2f may have helped him in that regard and he stayed on well on the inside to lead well inside the final 1f. He certainly stays this trip and looks back in form, though he will be heading back up the handicap as a result.

Intersky Charm ran a good race, coming from behind on a track where that is never easy, making ground from over 2f out to have every chance inside the final 1f and just losing out - he is clearly on a winning mark at present.

Sculastic was given the ideal ride for a horse dropping back in trip, leading until well inside the final 1f, and ran a decent race in third but will probably benefit from reverting to further. Bed Fellow had run well when sixth here on his penultimate start, when the runner-up this time was third, and did even better 12 days on, always prominent and finishing a close fourth from out of the handicap.
