Albarouche awkward start, soon tracked leaders, went 3rd halfway, effort 2f out, led just inside final furlong, cajoled along and drew clear
Mumayeza took keen hold, pressed leader, led 2f out, ridden and headed just inside final furlong, outpaced
Signora well in touch behind leaders, progress 2f out, shaken up final furlong, took 3rd near finish
Sensible well in touch behind leaders, effort over 2f out, ridden to chase leading pair over 1f out, kept on but no impression, lost 3rd near finish
Opera De Luna held up well in rear, steady progress from over 2f out, shaken up 1f out, kept on, never nearer
Taminas Desert held up in midfield, some progress when ran wide bend 2f out, reminder soon after, eased when held final furlong
Liberally chased leading pair to halfway, ridden over 3f out, steadily faded final 2f
Oops Another Act dwelt, ran green in rear, some progress over 2f out, still gaining but no chance when ran into trouble 1f out and eased
Ivona held up towards rear, some progress when very wide bend 2f out, hanging badly and soon beaten
Fortunella never better than midfield, weakened well over 1f out
Basanti soon led, ridden and headed 2f out, weakened rapidly
Dalayla in touch to halfway, tailed off over 2f out
Nyumba started slowly, always in last trio, tailed off 3f out
Ardkilly Belle started very slowly, always tailed off
Mumayeza hails from a stable whose fillies often improve for a run. She travelled kindly contesting the lead with Basanti and stayed on well. This will have done her the power of good.
Signora countered from a midfield position in the straight, looking as if the step up in trip suited. However, she never looked like thretening the principals.
NewcomersOpera De Luna and Taminas Desert both did enough to suggest there are races to be won with them in the future. The former is well-regarded and wasn't given a hard time, while Taminas Desert, a big filly who failed to handle the turn into the straight, was looked after in the final furlong and a half. She will have learned bundles from this.
