Shady Gloom made all, pushed along 2f out, edged left and stayed on strongly to go clear final furlong
Bocciani close up, effort over 3f out, chased winner over 1f out, no impression final furlong
Dream Esteem pulled hard early, chased winner to over 1f out, no extra under pressure
Chatanoogachoochoo in touch, driven and outpaced over 3f out, no danger after
Smart Pick behind, driven over 3f out, edged right, never on terms
Ayrpassionata in touch, driven over 4f out, beaten over 2f out
Bocciani was no match for the winner but he kept on to take the runner-up spot and on this evidence a step back up in trip would suit him.
Chatanoogachoochoo was having her first run and softer ground and longer trips are likely to see her in a better light with this experience behind her.
Smart Pick had nearly two stone to find on official figures to trouble the winner and never got into it.
