Grethel held up, headway to lead over 1f out, held on well final furlong
Papa´s Princess held up, headway over 2f out, every chance final furlong, just held
Dream Sea set steady pace, ridden 3f out, headed over 1f out, no extra
Annaliesse held up inside, headway 3f out, ridden 2f out, soon no impression
Carefree prominent, driven over 2f out, one pace over 1f out
Mystical Ayr held up, effort over 3f out, one pace over 1f out
Vanatina took keen hold, close up, lost place 3f out, no danger after
Lizzie Wiggins took keen hold, close up, ridden 3f out, weakening when clipped heels and fell over 1f out
GRETHEL had her chance on one piece of form when well out of the handicap and she found it again to win all out.
Papa's Princess was pegging the winner back all the way to the line but could not quite get there. She was clear of the third and is clearly capable of winning a race of this modest quality.
The faller was found to have lugged right and clipped the heels of Annaliesse so that would not have helped her cause. She was keeping on and is finding her form now.
Carefree was close enough if good enough but was one paced when it mattered.
Mystical Ayr has notshown a lot so far this season, but she wants much softer ground than she encountered here.
