Maghya held up in rear, headway on outer 3f out, ridden to chase leaders and edged left over 1f out, driven and kept on inside final furlong
Hula Ballew tracked leaders on inner, headway over 2f out, ridden and every chance well over 1f out, driven and not quicken inside final furlong
Badalona prominent, effort 3f out, ridden to lead briefly 2f out, soon driven and headed, weakened approaching final furlong
Feisty Royale prominent, ridden along 3f out, driven over 2f out and soon weakened
Island Music held up, always towards rear
Bonny Rose led, ridden along 3f out, headed 2f out and soon weakened
Musical Beat took keen hold, chased leaders until ridden and weakened over 2f out
Maghya, raised 7lb for her Newmarket win, was held-up in a rather muddling race. Pulled to the outer in the straight, she gradually made ground as the tempo increased, but the winner was always ahead of her and she was unable to wear it down.
The remaining trio were comfortably held, with Bonny Rose looking as though she may have lost her action briefly after being headed.
Musical Beat pulled far too hard in the early stages.
