Analyis of the race
He may be at the veteran stage, but KINGS COLLEGE BOY can still do the business when things drop right and, given a good lead here, he came powering off the pace to grab the lead in the closing stages. He clearly has his problems, but can never be discounted at this level.
Whinhill House jumped out from his high draw and set a scorching pace on the far rails that seemed likely to burn off all his rivals. He was still in front entering the final furlong, but was starting to struggle when the winner made his challenge. This was a good effort and he could find a similar race soon.
Nomoreblondes had it all to do from his stall two draw but kept wide in search of what was thought to be the faster ground. She kept on well to take fourth. Favourite Mineral Rights ran no sort of race. Always at the back, he never threatened to get into the shake-up. His two wins have been on the all-weather at Wolverhampton.
