Teacht An Earraig settled in mid-division, 6th halfway, smooth headway travelling well into 4th 2f out, close 3rd 1 1/2f out, ridden to lead 1f out, soon asserted, eased close home
Charminamix held up towards rear, headway into 5th 2f out, improved into 2nd 1 1/2f out, ridden 1f out, no extra final furlong
Moskova chased leaders, 3rd halfway, 2nd 5f out, ridden to lead 1 1/2f out, headed 1f out, no extra, kept on same pace
Head Of The River chased leaders, 5th halfway, ridden in 3rd 2f out, no extra in 4th 1 1/2f out, kept on same pace
Vincenzio Galilei towards rear, some headway into 6th over 1f out, kept on same pace final furlong
Norther Bay led after 1f, ridden and headed 1 1/2f out, soon weakened
Eagle´s Pass never a factor
Baron De´L chased leaders, 2nd halfway, ridden in 3rd 2 1/2f out, soon weakened, eased final furlong, tailed off
Rockys Choice led, headed after 1f, 4th halfway, ridden in 5th 2 1/2f out, soon weakened, eased final furlong and tailed off
Jump For You refused to race
Fresh from a win on similar ground over hurdles, Charminamix reverted to the Flat here and raced mid-division before being asked to improve his position approaching the 2f marker. However, like the rest of the beaten horses, he never looked like troubling the winner but did keep on to fill the runners-up spot.
Head Of The River was closest at the finish after being settled towards the rear of the field and could do better next time out if given a more positive ride, while Vincenzio Galilei, a one-time Classic hopeful,travelled well for the majority of this race after being held up but failed to quicken inside the final two furlongs.
Top weight and dual Listed winner Jump For You failed to jump with the field from the stalls, the third time this has happened with Harry Rogers' charge following his refusal to race on his previous two starts in Germany. [RC]
