ASK JENNY got her head in front literally on the line to deny Adriatic. After a frantic early pace over this minimum trip, everything appeared to be off the bridle having passed the 2f marker, except for Adriatic, who was travelling ominously well and, indeed, when kicked on by his rider just over 1f out, looked set for victory.

But having responded to Keegan Latham initially, Ask Jenny continued to do so and had the help of the stands' rail to make her challenge in the closing stages. She still had ground to make up with 150 yards to run and it wasn't until the final strides that she got her head in front.

Mt Weather looks one to benefit from a step up in trip following his staying-on fifth-placed finish here.
