Having raced mid-division, a good jump at the third-last put Keep It Cool into contention, but John Cullen was starting to get to work on the four-year-old when he was left in front at the second last, after jumping the flight in third place.
With two of his likely finishing rivals out of the picture,Keep It Cool wasn't helped by a mistake at the final flight but he continued to respond to his jockey's antics to win comfortably in the end.
Garryduff East raced prominently, but was under pressure turning into the straight and would have done well to have finished in the frame if the second-last hurdle mishap hadn't have occurred.
The talking point took place when The Frog Prince caused mayhem at the penultimate flight when his continuous jumping to the right saw him badly hamper both South Wing and Negus, who was creeping into contention at that stage and still travelling well.
Negus all but got rid of Denis O'Regan before being pulled up, while South Wing had no chance of staying up after colliding with Negus after the initial incident. Both looked most unlucky, with perhaps Negus appearing the more likely winner of the pair.
