ONEFORSATURDAY raced keenly on this first run for more than six months but he clearly retains the ability which enabled him to go close at Bangor last year and he held on narrowly despite wandering in front.
Worcester winner Springfield Raki was not disgraced under a penalty, always chasing the winner and keeping on, but only just held on to second from Wheyaye, who made a most encouraging debut; making ground to race in touch from six-furlongs out and keeping on well. She is bred to need time and fences to be seen to advantage, so this performance augurs well for her jumping career.
Opus Star showed asmidgeon of ability on her debut.
