Vital Spark tracked leaders, left handy 2nd 4th, led after 4 out, soon clear, 12 lengths ahead last, eased
Public Esteem prominent, went modest second 2 out, no chance with winner
Do L´Enfant D´Eau prominent, reminders 7th, lost place next, headway 10th, went modest 3rd last
Kimoe Warrior held up in rear, some headway 10th, never on terms
Phildari tracked leaders, left in lead 4th, blundered 6th, headed after 4 out, weakened 2 out
Tipp Top led to 2nd, reminders and lost place after 7th, soon behind
Eumene held up in rear-division, lost place 10th, last when hampered and mistake 2 out, pulled up before last
Nesotho in touch, driven and lost place 8th, tailed off 4 out, pulled up before next
Silver Dagger in rear, reminders 5th, soon tailed off, blundered 9th, soon pulled up
Romney Marsh jumped slowly 1st, reminders next, chased leaders, lost place after 10th, distant 6th when refused 2 out
Log On Intersky led 2nd, blundered and unseated rider 4th
VITAL SPARK has won only one previous race over fences, but it was on this course, and after a lack-lustre effort last Sunday at Worcester, when hampered and struck into, he ran out an easy winner. Travelling well and racing in touch, he went clear four out and scored eased down.
Public Esteem, a point winner who had won a 3m3f handicap seller over hurdles on his previous start, ran a sound enough race on his chase debut, but though he stayed on, he couldn't get to the winner. He should build on this.
Kilmoe Warrior was held up and never featured.
Romney Marsh had dropped out when she was refused two out hampering Eumene, who was well behind and was pulled up before the last.
