ENGLISH CITY, who had won at Perth on his previous start, and carried a 7lb penalty, settled better than most, and going on two out, he ran on in good style. He's certainly on good form.
Ursis had the run of the race, for he dictated the gallop most of the way, but found one too good. This was his best effort for a while, but he had the run of the race.
Golden Alchemist was held up, crept closer from the fourth last but could never get to the leaders.
Anticipating raced quite keenly in rear, and thoughhe moved up with a chance on the turn, he was soon struggling.
Jacks Craic was too keen.
