Tom´s Toybox midfield, headway 7th, led 3 out, clear from 2 out, ran on well and unchallenged after

Water Taxi held up, shaken up approaching 3 out, headway before 2 out, went 2nd before last, no chance with winner

Billyandi chased leaders, led 4 out, headed 3 out, beaten after 2 out

Ormello behind, hung left when toiling from 3 out, never on terms with leaders

Nesnaas held up, niggled along after 8th, never on terms

Colliers Court chased leader until after 8th, weakened 4 out

My Condor led, hit and headed 4 out, still upsides 3 out, weakening when mistake 2 out, eased when beaten approaching last

Some progressive young chasers in this handicap, but a couple could not get into this really strongly-run contest, whereas TOM'S TOYBOX showed up well in the chasing group behind the clear leader before going on three out, and scoring readily. He hasimproved a fair bit for the fitting of blinkers and though this race was probably run ideally to suit, he does look a fair chaser in the making, certainly good enough to win more summer handicaps.

Water Taxi was 3lb better off with the winner compared with their running at Kelso earlier in the year but never threatened to turn the tables, keeping on at one pace from rear to take a remote second approaching the last fence.

Billyandi has still to match his exploits as a hurdler, leading four out until three out but left behind from the next - he may have been better with more give in the ground.

My Condor set a strong pace but paid for it in the closing stages and was eased once clearly held.
