MADERSON BLUE, who had got outpaced after halfway when fourth on slow ground at Newton Abbot last time, proved more at home on this surface and stayed on well for pressure to score readily in the end.
Allonby Bay, a modest third on his Plumpton debut, stepped up on that effort here, while The Arsonist, who had bolted before the start when down the field at Newton Abbot last time, showed what he was capable of this time.
