GALAXIA had not shown much in eight previous outings over jumps, but he was here taking a big step up in trip after running over 2m last time and, though he was inclined to be keen early on, the longer trip clearly brought the best out of him. He reportedly works like a good horse at home, so the ability is there if he can be persuaded to put his best foot forward.
Lambrini Bianco ran very well on this first outing in almost two years. He was inclined to jump right, but after looking a beaten horse two out he rallied in the closing stages to finish a game second. He won four times in 2006 and seems to have retained his ability.
September Moon, up 9lb for a recent Fontwell win, lost her place approaching the home turn and looked as if she might be pulled up at that stage, but she found her second wind in the straight and ran well enough to suggest she can be fully competitive off her new mark.
