Ohana tracked leader, blundered 3rd, ridden and every chance 2 out, one pace after

Contra Mundum led, ridden 3 out, headed next, weakened run-in

Alroyal held up, headway after 9th, weakened from 3 out

Grand Silence chased leaders to 7th, outpaced from 9th

A better race than expected for this time of year and the form looks solid. Although four were nearly in line over the last three fences, there was only ever going to be one winner with PANJO BERE travelling over his rivals on the stands' side wing. He only need shaking up after jumping ahead at the last. He needs juice in the ground so had passed up a couple of openings (including one that would have allowed him run off a mark of just 108 before the new rule that ended the differential hurdle and chase rating).

He is off on his holidays now but looks one to follow over fences as he has some decent hurdle form.

Wise Owl and Ohana give the form a rock solid look. Wise Owl was making his chasing debut and looks sure to snap up a similar race.

Contra Mundum has run above himself on the bare form and looked to enjoy himself out in front, jumping well after having taken a crashing fall two races ago. The first four are all 5yos, who look sure to win their share of chases.

Alroyal could not live with them from the home bend but kept battling away in a lost cause, losing no more ground on the placed horses up the straight.
