Lord Gunnerslake tracked leader, reminders after 7th, led 9th, headed and mistake 3 outlost 2nd 3 out, one pace after
Master T in touch until lost place 7th, jumped slowly 4 out, effort before 3 out, one pace after
Irish Stream held up, headway after 9th, mistake 4 out, soon beaten
Rustic John always behind, lost touch 4 out
Jupon Vert led until headed 9th, ridden and weakened quickly approaching 3 out
STAR OF GERMANY sat closer to the pace this time, having been unable to catch the runaway winner last time. Jupon Vert was beaten by the home turn and Star of Germany cleared away from the third-last to win unchallenged, full value for the wide margin.
This was an atrocious race but Star of Germany jumped well on what was only his second start over fences and is the one who could find a bit more over fences.
Vibe could never raise the gallop to land a blow and outgalloped tired rivals up the straight. He remains a maiden which says it all about the form.
Master T was again disappointing, taking a big drop in class but the ground had gone against him as well. He got into the bottom of the fifth-last when tracking the front four and threw in the towel from there.
