Analyis of the race

There was not a great deal of pace on early, as is usual in these types of event, which may explain why a lot of them finished in close proximity behind the easy winner.

Some punters knew plenty was expected of RAGDOLLIANNA, who was having her first run for Norma Twomey, as she won with ease once sent to the front. Well supported in the market, her form for another stable was not too bad and the break since her last run has definitely improved her. She travelled powerfully, which should mean she has a chance of carrying a penalty if kept to bumpers.

Skipalong Breeze ran really well on her debut but bumped into something a bit special on the day.

A Nun With A Gun, a half-sister to staying chaser Geeveem, kept on really well inside thefinal furlong to rob Jolly Cooper of third. Neither had shown a great deal in the past, under rules and in points, so they limit the form a touch.

Trigger Lea led in her first-time visor but looked anything but co-operative under pressure, and is one to treat with caution.

La Donna Del Largo made ground at halfway but could not sustain her run. Bumble Rose stopped as ifshot up the home straight, while the well-bred Bachello showed little on her debut.
