Eliza Doalott with leaders, led 5th, quickened 7th, headed 2 out, kept on same pace run-in

Nakoma chased leaders, kept on one pace from 3 out, took modest 3rd near finish

Another Storm held up, headway 7th, went modest 3rd approaching 2 out, kept on one pace

Lupita held up in rear, headway 8th, weakened approaching 2 out

Starlight Air mid-division, headway 8th, one pace from next

Lucky Pearl mid-division, outpaced 8th, soon lost place

Peaceful Means chased leaders, ridden and weakened after 3 out

Ellerslie Lisa in touch, reminders 6th, soon lost place, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out

Back To Normal led to 5th, weakened rapidly next, tailed off, pulled up before 7th

True Dove not fluent in rear, reminders 5th, behind from next, well tailed off when pulled up before 2 out

Antigone´s Fire chased leaders, blundered and unseated rider 2nd

Night Reveller in rear, behind from 6th, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out

Much like the previous race, there were plenty of runners but not many you could fancy with any conviction. DELAYED APPROACH was held up in midfield for much of the race before working her way slowly into contention. She was on top between the last two flights before making a slight error at the last. She has started her time with Tim Vaughan well and can win another mares' event.

Eliza Doalott, back in maiden company, showed much more than she had done in handicaps and could be returning to the form that saw her win a point.

Lupita was disappointing again and has not been the same since winning at Bath on the Flat, while Starlight Air shaped with some promise and is the type to improve with experience.
