Analyis of the race
A valuable novice hurdle for the time of year was turned into a virtual non-event by the presence of the 147 rated WOOLCOMBE FOLLY, who had been raised an amazing 22lb for winning a handicap hurdle at Stratford last time.
This trip would have beenas far as he needs and he will turn out again in a similar contest at Stratford on Sunday.
His trainer has no option but to run him in these sorts of races due to his prohibitive mark.
Cengiz was switching back to hurdles but had no chance with the front two.
