SOHRAAB may have lacked a previous run this season, but he looked the part beforehand and delivered in style, running on strongly for pressureto come out on top. Remarkably, this was his first win on turf. On this evidence, it won't be his last.
Total Impact is clearly a progressive horse. He went down fighting in second place after coming from a tricky enough draw on one of the wings and in a race, where it may have been an advantage to be drawn somewhere in the centre. A sixth furlong may suit him even better.
Bo McGinty ran a cracker. The Nifty Fox continues to fare respectably without a whole lot of reward. He may be more effective giving weight to lesser horses as opposed to receiving it from better ones.
