Analyis of the race

The course was in smashing nick and was just on the faster side of good.VIVA RONALDO had run very creditably in his two previous starts, the latest on this course behind the highly rated Thunderous Mood, and he made it third time lucky in workmanlike style. Allowed to bowl along this time, he was headed for a little while, but he kept on rolling and then dug deep to put the race to bed. He is a fresh, sweaty individual, but that seems to be part of his make-up. Six furlongs will not be a bother to him.

Every Second represented some solid form in his two starts but, for the third time, he found just one too good. His turn will surely come soon. Carnaby Haggerston, all the better for his Haydock debut, traded punches with the winner up front, but he did not see off his race quite as well. He remains progressive, however, and it is surely only a matter of time before he breaks his maiden. Eldorado Days ran better than on his debut and looks the type to continue progressing. His turn maynot be far away.
