Applesnap chased leaders, led over 1f out, ridden out
Obe Royal slowly into stride, held up, headway over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, stayed on
Strabinios King held up, headway over 1f out, stayed on under pressure
Norcroft chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace
Bertbrand chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, weakened well inside final furlong
Falmassim reared start, behind, headway under pressure over 1f out, not trouble leaders
Tamino led, ridden and headed over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Djalalabad started slowly, headway halfway, ridden and weakened over 1f out
Rough Rock prominent, steadied and lost place 4f out, never dangerous after
Peak Seasons soon pushed along in rear, behind from halfway
Lindbergh tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened
Obe Royal had been running well off his current mark and put in another solid effort as he raced in touch held up towards the stands side and kept on. He has run well here in the past and can find a little race like this soon.
Strabinios King had won two of last three starts on the all weather but his latest success had been over seven furlongs and he gave the impression the return to that trip could be in his favour. He was racing off a 6lb higher mark than when gaining his last success and came through to chase the winner in the final furlong and kept on in a manner which suggests he could find a race off this mark over a longer trip.
Tamino had made the running and faded once headed by the winner but these really exposed types.
