URAMAZIN had shaped pleasingly on his debut last month, while also running as though this 6f trip would be much more to use him than 5f.
That provedto be the case and he did well to win, as he found himself away from most of the action from his stall one draw. More than that, he was pushed out even further towards the far rail when Crackdown began hanging left.
He might well find a few of those behind him improving past him in the future, but he is clearly decent and should win more races when the ground is no quicker than he faced here.
Mrs Kipling, a weak favourite in the ring, was thought good enough by Frankie Dettori for the rider tocome to Nottingham only to ride her. She almost repaid his support, as she moved extremely smoothly before being sent into the lead; but having gone on, she found herself out on her own and proceeded to run green. It was still a highly encouraging debut and she will be regarded by many as a good thing to go one better on her next outing.
Churchills Victory hung left late in the race but still finished better than most, which augurs well for the rest of his season.
Kings Troop is clearly nothing special but ran a fair race, while Black Attack, who caught the eye on his Ripon debut, did not build on those foundations. His Ripon introduction came only eight days before this appearance, so he might well have found his second run coming too soon after his first.
Oratory was slowly into stride and should know more next time, as should Join Up, who went encouragingly for a long way.
