Cha Cha Cha prominent on inner, chased leader just over 2f out, driven to lead 1f out, stayed on well
Medicea Sidera led, driven and clear with winner over 1f out, headed 1f out, kept on well but always held
Resplendent Nova tracked leaders, outpaced well over 1f out, driven into 3rd 1f out, no chance with leading pair
Bomber Command dwelt and not much room on inner soon after start, last trio until ridden and stayed on final 2f, nearest finish
Vintage took keen hold, held up towards rear, some progress on inner 2f out, soon outpaced, one pace after
Rydal Mount chased leader until just over 2f out, faded under pressure
Carcinetto tracked leaders, ridden and not quicken over 2f out, soon struggling and beaten
Royal Island soon last, ridden and wide bend 3f out, never a factor
Hazytoo raced wide and ran in snatches, brief effort from rear over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened
North South Divide took keen hold, held up in midfield, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened
Hollow Jo dwelt, always in last trio, ridden and no progress 3f out, eased over 1f out
CHA CHA CHA, rated 10lb lower on the all-weather than on turf, has been running consistently well in defeat of late and she looked an obvious contender.Soon well positioned on the rail, she moved out to challenge Medicea Sidera inside the final quarter-mile and had her measure at the furlong pole. This was her first win on the all-weather and she should remain handily weighted on turf form.
MediceaSidera ran as though in need of her recent comeback at Ascot and she remained fairly weighted on old form. Taking up her customary front-running role, she still seemed full of running over two out and had many of them in trouble, but could not shake Cha Cha Cha and, try as she might, the winner was always doing enough once in front.
Resplendent Nova, who burst a blood vessel when flopping at Lingfield last time, has not won since scoring over course and distance in August of last year and, although off the same mark here, there had to be a question mark over his wellbeing. He ran well, sticking on at the same pace under pressure, but remains just below a winning level at present.
Vintage, 6lb higher than when winning over 6f at the course in April, has struggled the last twice, but this was better, while the strong-traveling Rydal Mount, racing off a 10lb higher mark than when winning at Newbury, failed to get home.
Carcinetto, who ran above herself to finish fourth at odds of 66-1 in a Listed contest at Haydock last time, was just 4lb higher than when winning at the course in May and her useful apprentice's 7lb claim was expected to come in handy. She failed to pick up when asked, though, and was quickly beaten.
Hazytoo was never really travelling, while North South Divide failed to appreciate this step back up to 7f.
