Onceaponatime not as well away as some, soon tracked leaders, shaken up over 2f out, progress on outer over 1f out, stayed on to lead last 100yds, driven out
Prime Factor tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, driven to lead just over 1f out, headed last 100yds, kept on
Honey Monster in rear of main group, ridden and some progress 2f out, no impression over 1f out, picked up again and finished well last 150yds to take 3rd near finish
Replicator tracked leaders, effort on inner and close up 2f out, driven and not quicken over 1f out, one pace after
Maryolini led, hard pressed from over 2f out, headed and faded just over 1f out
Caprio very awkward start and lost many lengths, well behind, pushed along over 2f out, stayed on well from over 1f out, nearest finish
Bazguy tracked leader, poised to challenge going well from halfway, ridden and found nil 2f out, still nearly upsides just over 1f out, weakened
Vigano restless stalls, tracked leaders and raced on outer, gradually lost ground bend 3f out, one pace in rear final 2f
Pha Mai Blue in rear of main group, pushed along halfway, no progress over 2f out, beaten after
Benedetto in rear of main group, no progress under pressure over 2f out
Just Sort It nearly sat down as stalls opened and jockey unable to remove blindfold, always tailed off and allowed to coast round
Well beaten over 7f in soft ground on his debut, he showed that running tobe all wrong when winning on a fast surface at Leicester last time and looked weighted about right off 80 for this handicap debut.
Well berthed in stall nine, he was outpaced rounding for home and appeared to be beaten two out, but dug in under pressure and wore down Prime Factor close home. All the evidence suggests a return to 7f will suit, but his jockey was not of that opinion, in which case he will need to improve markedly to follow up in a higher grade.
Prime Factor won his maiden here back in February and has twice run well in handicaps since, most recently when third behind speedball Befortyfour at Great Leighs. Dropped 1lb for that, the step back up to 6f was always going to suit and he looked the winner when going on just over a furlong out, but the favourite eventually reeled him in.
He is untested on turf, but has yet to run a bad race and should remain competitive off this sort of mark.
Replicator shaped as though a return to 6f would suit when third off this mark at Great Leighs last time, but although he stuck on well under pressure for fourth, he lacked a finishing kick.
Maryolini, 7lb higher than when winning at Wolverhampton in December, returned with a sound effort to finish second at Haydock and looked a leading contender. Soon in front, she was harried by Bazguy all the way and could find no extra off the front. This was a shade disappointing.
Bazguy showed plenty of speed and travelled strongly but was quick to back out of it once things started to get tough.
Caprio lost all chance at the start, as did Just Sort It, whose rider was late removing the blindfold.
