Lambency, a stable companion of thewinner, hadn't run to her best on her two most recent appearances and was not drawn particularly well, but she put up a better effort here, keeping on well in the closing stages.
Duke Of Milan, who was having his first run of the term on turf after quite decent efforts on the all-weather, was another to finish well. He did enough to suggest he is capable of breaking his duck on the grass.
QuicksThe Word was always up there and, despite edging right into the centre, he has run another decent race.
Obe One, without a win since 2003, was another to show a bit more than of late, although he was one-paced in the closing stages.
Staked A Claim was only 4lb higher than when scoring at Redcar last time but he ran well below form.
