Rossini Byline tracked leader to well over 1f out, rallied inside final furlong

Easy Wonder held up, headway when hung left from well over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong

New Balls Please tracked leaders until ridden and weakened well over 1f out

Oxbridge chased leaders, weakening when not much room well over 1f out

Hold That Call slowly away, raced wide, behind from over 2f out

Mama Leo always outpaced in rear

A low-grade handicap, but won most convincingly by top-weight FILLIGREE, who left behind a disappointing effort on soft ground at Chepstow last time by taking it up over a furlong out and soon coming clear, being kept up to her work all the way to the line. She might well win again if connections can find another race like this before she is reassessed.

Regal Veil made the running on the far rail but had no answer when the winner tackled her. Her only win came on a technicality, but she is consistent and proved here she handles fast ground.

Easy Wonder and New Balls Please, both held up, were well clear of the rest, and the latter is entitled to come on for this first run in nine months.
