Just The Lady made all, ridden final furlong, held on towards finish

Madame Jourdain chased winner, wandered and kept on final furlong, just held

Chipolini chased leaders, headway 2f out, edged left, kept on same pace

Petite Denise dwelt, outpaced and behind, stayed on final 2f

Kapowee dwelt, outpaced and behind, some headway 2f out, never nearer

Transformation chased leaders, soon driven along, lost place over 1f out

Under The Table started slowly, soon well behind

The ground was very much on the fast side. This was an ordinary juvenile claimer in which the two previous winners finished first and second.

Victory went to JUST THE LADY, who had shown some fair form in better grade before trotting up in a Lingfield seller on her previous start. Well away she made all, but was coming to the end of her tether in the final furlong and only just held on. A small nursery on a sharp track may prove her best option now.

Madame Jourdain, who won a Thirsk seller on her previous start, raced keenly early on, then wandered a bit but stuck to her guns well and was only beaten a neck. She can win a claimer.

Petite Denise is only a plater, but stayed on after getting behind and left the impression a sixth furlong might suit her better, but she'll need to improve a fair bit on this if she's to win a race.
