Gold Sovereign held up, headway over 2f out, led and edged right from over 1f out, clear inside final furlong, eased towards finish
Ansells Pride chased leader, ridden and every chance over 1f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Hartshead tracked leaders, ridden and edged right over 1f out, stayed on
Marning Star led, ridden and headed over 2f out, every chance over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong
Stoic Leader held up in touch, pulled hard, ridden and hung left over 1f out, soon beaten
Musca slowly into stride, headway over 6f out, led over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, eased inside final furlong
This was only his third run, and the drop back from 1m2f proved no problem and he should continue to progress.
Ansells Pride is 11lb higher for his two wins this year, but is a decent yardstick in this sort of company, and he kept on for second ahead of Hartshead, who hasn't won for early two years. He is now 12lb lower in the ratings than for that last win, and kept on for third without troubling the winner.
