Roodolph took keen hold, tracked winner after 2f, ridden 3f out, tried to challenge final 2f, always held

Aegean Prince held up in 5th, pushed along to close over 2f out, switched wide and effort just over 1f out, ridden and not quicken

Royal Jasra tracked winner 2f, ridden over 3f out, one pace and no impression final 2f

Know The Law ran without front shoe, held up in last, ridden 3f out, hanging and not quicken final 2f, kept on

Krugerrand held up in last pair, ridden and no impression final 3f

Fantastic Morning tracked leading trio, ridden over 3f out, weakened rapidly over 1f out, eased, tailed off

This revolved around VALRHONA, who was eased 1lb in the ratings to get into this lower contest after her good fourth in a much classier affair at Ascot last time. She made quite heavy weather of it despite getting an easy lead. She did not look happyaround the bends of this course but back on an even keel in the final two furlongs, saw off a series of dangerous looking challenges and the further she went the better she looked. Any rerise takes her out of this sphere and she has something to prove ata higher level.

Aegean Prince was finally pulled out widest midtrack to put in a run and he looked a danger into the last 150 yards but he has still only won his maiden nearly two years ago with near misses mounting.

Know The Law spread a front shoe at the start and ran without it.
