Dark Mischief made all and raced against near side rail, ridden 1f out, stayed on
Green Beret chased leaders, effort 2f out, ridden and kept on final furlong, never able to challenge
Young Dottie pressed winner, wandered when ridden from 2f out, held final furlong and just pipped for 2nd
Soul City dwelt, soon in touch, hanging left from over 2f out, shaken up and stayed on, never able to challenge
Blusher took keen hold, held up behind leaders, hanging from 2f out, no impression but kept on
Yeoman Blaze bumped start, never beyond midfield, shaken up over 2f out, one pace
Alderbed went left start, close up, ridden 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Mr Willis started slowly, held up well in rear, some progress 2f out, switched left over 1f out, green but plugged on
Elusive Intentions started slowly, never beyond midfield, struggling from over 2f out
Kheylide held up in midfield, ran green from halfway, soon outpaced and beaten
Super Fourteen started slowly, switched from wide draw, always well in rear
Brazilian Art dwelt, soon pushed along and well in rear, always behind
Prima Fonteyn dwelt, always well in rear, struggling from halfway
Spring Quartet dwelt, never beyond midfield, ridden over 2f out, soon weakened
Jasper Cliff dwelt, outpaced and always behind, tailed off
There were plenty of runners, but it waasn't one of the strongest juvenile races for this track and they did not blaze away over this trip.
DARK MISCHIEF justified strong market support, making the most of a rail-side draw to make all. He was green under pressure in the final furlong but still held on comfortably and there should be more to come. Whilethere is plenty of stamina on the dam's side, connections pointed out that he looked like his sire Namid and looks to have his speed as well, with Dane O'Neill reporting that 5f would not catch him out.
Green Beret battled on for strong pressure in the final furlong to win a separate race for second. This half-brother to useful sprinter Tax Free does not look quite such a flying machine.
Soul City found it all happening to quickly for him but was staying on when it was all over. He will be sharper next time and should soon be winning.
Blusher showed good all-round speed but had experience on his side after her 5f debut last month.
They finished strung out behind, but Yeoman Blaze shaped with promise under tender handling and the slow-starting pair Mr Willis and Super Fourteen, who was also badly drawn, showed more promise than the bare form. The latter, who was switched to the stands' rail at the back, ran green before showing he was getting the idea in the final furlong.
