Dickie Le Davoir ran a cracker under his penalty, but he could never quite reach the winner in time, coming from off the pace.
Royal Challenge was comfortably held by the first three. Brigadore, having only his second start of the campaign, ran a fair race.
Avontuur, who missed the break, did well to finish as close as he did.
