Formation tracked leaders, headway 2f out, switched left and effort to challenge over 1f out, ridden to lead and swished tail inside final furlong, driven and held on towards finish
Missioner close up, led 3f out, ridden 2f out, driven and headed inside final furlong, rallied well towards finish
Merchant Of Dubai chased leading pair, ridden along 3f out, driven well over 1f out, kept on same pace final furlong
Resounding Glory held up in rear, effort over 2f out, soon ridden and never a factor
Bonjour Allure held up, effort 3f out, soon ridden along and beaten 2f out
Burriscarra led, ridden along and headed 3f out, driven 2f out and soon weakened
FORMATION was always travelling well in himself and, although he failed to get a run up the inside of the runner-up approaching the final furlong, he cruised alongside only for his tail to flash as soon as his jockey moved on him. Jamie Spencer gave him one backhander, but otherwise relied on hands and heels to force him home from the rallying runner-up. The ability is there, but he looks a bit of a character.
Missioner travelled well within himself throughout and went for home inside the final two furlongs. The winner always looked to have his measure, but Missioner is nothing if not game and he battled back after being headed to force a short-head verdict.
Bonjour Allure, who was also making her reappearance, was ultimately well held, and the Irish raider Burriscarra finished well behind.
