Blandings Castle tracked leader until 7th, ridden and slightly flat-footed soon after 3 out, progress to take narrow advantage 2 out, kept on, ridden out

Incorporation chased leaders in 3rd until lost place after 6th, ridden before 3 out, headway 2 out, went 2nd before last, kept on but always held by winner

Pipers Legend held up 4th, headway to press leader 7th, led and mistake 3 out, soon ridden, headed 2 out, no extra

Colliers Court jumped right throughout, led, soon clear, ridden when headed 3 out, weakened before 2 out

Creinch held up in 5th, lost touch quickly approaching 6th, pulled up before 7th

Not the greatest of handicap chases for the money with BLANDINGS CASTLE, who was only declared when the event was reopened, winning on his first run for almost eight months. He is a course specialist and all four of his wins have come at this track. However this was the first time he has won on anything slower than good so that might say something about his rivals than anything else as he is now on a career high mark.
