No More Tom always prominent, left in lead 6th, ridden and headed after 2 out, stayed on flat

Avoine held up in mid-division, headway approaching 10th, lost place 12th, took modest 3rd after last

Merry Storm held up in touch, lost place 4th, headway 12th, weakened approaching 3 out

Shammy Buskins always behind, jumped right 3rd, no chance when blundered last

It´s Blue Chip held up in touch, weakened 11th

Presenting Alf held up in touch, weakened after 13th

Standandbecounted held up in touch, hampered 6th, ridden 11th, weakened after 13th, behind when blundered last

Vital Spark always behind, hampered 1st, tailed off when pulled up before 12th

Jacarado held up in mid-division, headway after 8th, mistake 9th, ridden and weakened 11th, behind when pulled up after 2 out

Brave Jo led until blundered and unseated rider 6th

Acertack prominent, hampered and lost place 6th, tailed off when pulled up before 9th

A handicap chase that was only fractionally better than selling class. KINGFISHER NIAMH had been successful in points and put that experience to good use as she effectively just outbattled the runner-up. She also seemed suited by a change in tactics as she was up more prominently all the way rather than being ridden more patiently. The form is only modest but the front two were clear so for the time of year is probably not that bad in the context of these low-grade affairs.

Avoine, having his first try over fences, seems to be struggling to get home so maybe a step back in trip might help.

\Merry Storm's best form is on softer ground and he seemed to find this fast surface against him.
