Coeur D´Alene held up in touch, lost place and hampered 7th, tailed off

Arceye held up in mid-division, reminders after 6th, ridden 8th, soon struggling, tailed off

Fast Fred always behind, hampered 7th, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out

Glen Rouge led to 2nd, in touch when fell 7th

Deoraoicht held up towards rear, reminder after 6th, switched left 8th, headway on inside when mistake 9th, soon weakened, behind when pulled up before 2 out

It was difficult to get too carried away about this novice handicap hurdle, where many of them would have had stamina limitations at the trip. One that did not was JOB ONE as he had stayed on over further last time and put his staying power to good use.

As this was only the winner's seventh career start there is a chance that there might be a bit more improvement in the locker now that connections have discovered he needs this sort of distance.

Choumakeur has shown some improvement for the fitting of headgear, but he really is looking hard to win with.

Bobs Hope was fitted with cheekpieces for the first time and he looks decidedly modest.
