Simondiun always going well, joined leader after 7th, led last, ridden and ran on well flat
Black Anshan soon chasing leader, led 4th, mistake 7th, ridden after 3 out, headed last, edged left and beaten flat
Mizen Raven held up towards rear, headway approaching 5th, no impression from 3 out
Travelling Fox took keen hold towards rear, ridden after 6th, soon struggling
Daring Approach led to 4th, prominent until ridden and weakened after 7th, finished approached, lame
What A Biscuit behind from 5th, soon lost touch
Nautical Approach held up in mid-division, ridden and struggling after 7th, tailed off
Orphina in rear, lost touch 6th, tailed off
Imalright prominent until weakened after 4th, lost touch 5th, tailed off when pulled up before 7th
Paul Superstar mid-division, behind from 6th, tailed off when pulled up after 7th
Go On George held up in touch, 4th when eased and pulled up before 3 out, dismounted, lame
Glenargo in rear, lost touch 5th, soon hard ridden, tailed off when pulled up before 7th
At one stage the winner looked as if he would win by further than he actually did, and he gave the impression he is not exactly straightforward in that respect. However, he shaped as if 3m would not go amiss and there should be other races in him at this time of year.
Mizen Raven, another point-to-point winner, was having his third try over hurdles, and he will now be up for a mark. He failed to make an impression on the front two but, depending how the handicapper views the form, he might do better when handicapped.
