Analyis of the race
The first juvenile hurdle of the season fell to SIMARIAN, previously trained by John Oxx on the Flat. He did his job in nice style and came clean away from the final flight. There is surely more to come from him.
Duke Of Touraine was put in his place at the final flight but should be able to go one better when he brushes up his jumping slightly. Morestead ran well for a long way before weakening; this experience will not have been wasted on him.
