Analyis of the race

A run-of-the-mill handicap chase, which attracted a 20-strong field. Precious few of them, however, got a sighter at the lead, which was largely dominated by LETHEM PRESENT, who took no prisoners and who basically ran her rivals ragged. She is in great form and she proved here that she is capable of being more than competitive off her new mark, which was raised 15lb after her previous win over this course and distance three starts ago.

Got The Gift is the horse to take out of this race. He rana fine race on his first start for more than five months. Entitled to improve as a result of this outing, he should not be long in going one better. Greenock, making his debut over fences, sneaked closer to the leaders along the back straight, but hecould never get near enough to land a telling blow.
