Fuel Cell mid-division, pushed along 3rd, headway 6th, stayed on strongly to lead last 150yds
Sun Quest held up in rear, headway 6th, went 2nd approaching 2 out, kept on same pace run-in
Hidden Commotion led 2nd, quickened approaching 3 out, 5 lengths ahead when mistake 2 out, weakened last, soon headed
Reflective Glory chased leaders, went 2nd approaching 3 out, one pace from next
Makandy mid-division, outpaced appriaching 3 out, kept on from 2 out
Flexible Friend chased leaders, outpaced approaching 3 out, soon weakened
Mount Kearney led to 2nd, chased leaders, lost place approaching 2 out
Erte chased leaders, lost place 6th, soon behind, tailed off
Bowing steadied start, took keen hold in rear, behind from 5th, soon tailed off, pulled up before 3 out
Miss Tiddlypush took keen hold in rear, behind from 4th, soon hopelessly tailed off, pulled up before 3 out
Blue Opal prominent, lost place 4th, soon behind, tailed off 6th, pulled up before next
Never Cross took keen hold, tracked leaders, mistake and lost place 4th, behind when blundered 6th, tailed off when pulled up before next
This was a very ordinary maiden claiming hurdle which went to the 100-rated FUEL CELL, a three-times Flat winner, who had been placed in a couple of novice events at around this time last year. Well beaten recently, though, he appeared to be struggling early on but came from off the pace to lead after the last to score ridden out.
Sun Quest, a stable companion of the winner, made headway from three out and kept on to take second after the last. Like the winner he has a mark of 100, but hadn't been in the best of form.
Reflective Glory was a one-paced fourth, running well enough to suggest he might be up to winning a seller.
Makandy was fifth, and these were well clear of the rest.
