Thumbprint not fluent, made most, hard ridden approaching last, driven out
Lord Brunello prominent, lost place 3rd, reminders 5th, not fluent 7th, headway 9th, ridden after 3 out, stayed on under pressure to take 2nd flat, not trouble winner
Predictive held up, hit 5th, headway approaching 3 out, chased winner 2 out, soon hard ridden, lost 2nd and no extra flat
Earcomesthedream with winner until ridden approaching 3 out, weakened approaching last
Lynford Noora held up, headway 7th, weakened approaching 3 out
Georgian King took keen hold in touch, fell 8th
Molly O´Malley prominent, mistake 8th, weakened 9th, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out
THUMBPRINT had shown improved form in a first-time tongue-strap on his previous start and looked to show further progress on this step back up to 3m, getting a good ride in a less than strongly run contest as he made all and battled on well to hold on gamely. He jumped less than fluently but is game and he is making a fair staying novice.
Winning point-to-pointer Lord Brunello showed ability on this hurdling debut but shaped as though he needs a stiffer test of stamina, losing his place from the third and getting a reminder before halfway but plugging on for second. He should improve and could go one place better in run-of-the-mill company when speed is at less of a premium.
Georgian King's form gave him strong claims and he held every chance when he fell at the eighth flight. He is worth another chance.
