Analyis of the race

This developed into a two-horse contest from some way out as TARTAK, who had been runner-up in two novice chases at Auteuil recently, opened his account in this country at the first time of asking for his new trainer. Basically he toyed with the runner-up and only had to be shaken up to go readily clear after making much of the running. He looks a nice prospect and should have no problems with a bit further but is likely to be put away until the autumn now.
