Alphabetical tracked leader, left in lead 9th, kept on from 2 out, ridden out
Hermano Cordobes in touch, went 2nd approaching 3 out, no impression on winner from 2 out
Sesame Rambler always in rear, went 3rd last, never near to challenge
Gaelic Flight in touch, left 2nd 9th, lost that position approaching 3 out, weakened 2 out
Mixsterthetrixster held up, headway 9th, ridden approaching 3 out, weakened next
Soleil Fix led until overjumped and unseated rider 9th
Highway Oak in touch 8th, pulled up before 2 out
Hermano Cordobes should have appreciated the drying ground and the money in the ring spoke positively for him. He was close enough if good enough turning in but was unable to raise his game. Considering he had beaten higher-rated rivals last season and was open to more improvement than anything else this was a shade disappointing.
Gaelic Flight likes this going. He looked menacing four out but had raised the white flag by the last.
Soleil Fix had enjoyed himself in front and was still a couple of lengths to the good when a spectacular jump at the one going down the hill proved too much for his pilot.
